Staffing

The service is run and managed by Lesley Love, Deputy Headteacher at Treetops School who has extensive specialist training in Autism, and also has Early Years expertise. She has Board Certified status (BCABA) and is being mentored by Dr. Carbone.

Treetops School has over 30 full time therapists who work one to one with the children. Some of the therapists also provide Outreach support to children with Autism in other settings. All of these staff have training in ABA (VB) methods. In addition to this staff may also have additional and suitable qualifications (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ) and many have other relevant skills (BSL, First Aid and Psychology qualifications).

ABA VB

We also have a speech therapist and physiotherapist who work at Treetops School, and are available to offer their expertise. Malcolm Taylor (Principal Educational Psychologist) is also able to advise on individual programmes. The school has regular visits by an external consultant, Carole Roxburgh BCABA (associate of Dr Vincent Carbone) who provides specific advice to the staff working on the ABA programmes. Dr Vincent J. Carbone (BCBA) himself, visits the school on a six monthly basis to support the development of ABA Verbal Bahaviour services at Treetops and to train and advise staff.
