We have had a very busy day today. Not so much sun but still good conditions on the mountain. Again our amazing pupils have excelled themselves with their progress and determination to improve. The beginners group are beginning to get the hang of it and indeed two boys are now skiing the nursery slope with no support. Both the more experienced groups are skiing different parts of the mountain and intermediate group have skied their first red run. After skiing we have been into town and then to a pizza restaurant for what can only be described as a pizza feast! we returned to the hotel quite late so there has not been time to upload photos......apologies. We hope to have some more added tomorrow.
Another beautiful day, A bit of a lie in this morning. Up at 7.30 and on the mountain by 10.00. Children straight into their lessons. Two groups up the mountain and the beginners on the nursery slope. Our instructors are great, two have worked with us before. Off the mountain by 4.00pm then shower and chill, dinner and bowling. All very tired and in bed by 10,00pm determined to be up and ready for skiing tomorrow.
Having arrived safely yesterday we all had a good nights sleep and were up early and raring to go this morning. The weather was amazing but a bit cold ……. -10 degrees!!!!! We split into our groups and were soon skiing. Everyone was really up for it and had a great day. We are all tired but have enjoyed a good meal. We are about to embark on some fun games with our reps, Then off to bed ready for another great day tomorrow. The pictures give a flavour of our day.
As promised the last of the pictures. Presentation evening, a very snowy misty Friday and a glorious sunny day with fresh snow on Saturday. All home safely on Sunday at 10.30am.
A great trip with the pupils being a credit to both themselves and the school. We are very proud of them.
We are leaving our hotel about 7 o'clock so should be home at our expected time. I will keep Mr love informed. We have had the most amazing day with sunshine and fresh snow. Pictures from today and yesterday will be posted either tomorrow or Monday. We had a vote and most pupils wanted to stay and ski some more so although are keen to come home they are disappointed to leave.
sWe are being lucky with the weather yet again. Pupils are skiing so much it is hard to keep up to take photos. Everyone met up at the top of the cable car for a well earned hot chocolate. So all have seen the views from high up the mountain. Bowling this evening was great fun. Mrs Hodge's team won and Mrs Foster was the individual winner, much to her surprise. Our Interki rep has been fantastic and the coach drivers have been amazing, joining in with all our evening activities.
Guess what? Yes another amazing day. We have all been very busy skiing and getting better and better. Another group is now skiing higher up the mountain. So apologies for fewer pictures than usual. we will try harder tomorrow. We also had a pizza night at a local pizzeria where vast quantities of the Italian delicacy were consumed....... and not just by the staff!
A much better day weather wise. Loads of sun and superb snow.Again all skied very well and made great strides. One group is working further up the mountain and the other two practicing their skills on the nursery slopes. A tour of the town followed with opportunities to buy some souvenirs and have an authentic Italian 'gellato', ice cream. We had birthday cake and candles at dinner for Josh.
After a very wet start with rain and snow we got down to some serious skiing. All did well making progress. An amazing day was rounded off with a tubing session where mr simmonds was chief pusher of children down the hill whilst frequently losing his footing to howls of laughter.
To all parents. We arrived safely at 12.30am Italian time. After fitting boots and skis we arrived at our hotel at 2.30ish. All very tired so now in bed and settled. hopefully ready to hit the slopes in the morning.
