Friends of Treetops School
Friends of Treetops School (FOTS) is the external support group for the school. Made up of parents, staff and volunteers, the group raises money for extracurricular activities to help the pupils. Funds raised have helped provide a leaver’s ball for the senior pupils leaving the school, as well as countless special trips and pieces of equipment. On top of this, our current priority is raising funds for an outdoor learning area which will benefit all pupils, particularly those younger pupils on VB programmes and following the Early Years and Foundation Stage curriculum.
Money is raised at a number of events including the Summer Fête, the Christmas Bazaar, quiz evenings and race nights. Further information about FOTS can be obtained by contacting Terri Carroll at the school address. For a full list of our exciting upcoming events, please visit our Events Page.
If you are a parent/carer of a child at Treetops, and you would like to get involved, you would be very welcome. Ways to do this include: helping with preparation and at events, suggest ideas of ways to raise much-needed funds, finding raffle prizes and, of course, attending events FOTS put on.
If you are a local business who would like to get involved with helping raise much-needed funds for this very special school, we'd love to hear from you. This can be through anything from sponsorship of an event to providing prizes or helping set up the Summer Fete. We are open to suggestions and look forward to hearing from you, plus we always recognize our supporters in all of our charity literature!
Our focus for 2015 is to raise £10,000 to complete the Sensory Garden Project. The funds raised during 2014, coupled with a generous donation from Lord Taverners, has seen the ground broken in February 2015 for the Sensory Garden foundations to be laid. We are now looking to kit-out this amazing space with interesting, educational equipment and furniture that all pupils at Treetops will enjoy using and exploring.
We would like to say THANK YOU to all our parents, carers, friends and local businesses who have supported FOTS in making the following projects possible:
The Sensory Garden (Phase 1)
New bicycle safety equipment
iPads for the Speech & Language and Art Departments
T-shirts for Dance Club
Year 11 Leavers Prom
Various educational trips
New playground equipment for the Primary and Secondary playgrounds
None of this would have been possible without your continued support!
